The internship experience at Project Bully Free Zone enriches students with a deeper understanding of themselves and a greater appreciation for the diversity of the communities involved in our programs. In order to qualify to take part in our internship program, a student must:

• Have an outstanding academic record with an interest in gaining experience working within the education sector
• Be dedicated to helping students, educators and professionals create bully free zones
• Exhibit interest in engaging in community-based social marketing, volunteer and event coordination and social education initiatives
• Be a strong communicator with an interest in bringing people together
• Represent him or herself professionally, be attentive to details and be a flexible problem-solver
• Feel passionately about cultivating accessible, content-rich, action-oriented community education programs

Interns gain real-world work experience in the nonprofit sector, helping them develop skills in:

• Leadership
• Time management
• Organization
• Communication
• Grant and resume writing
• Effectively disseminating their messages using social media technologies such as blogs and forums
• Marketing and developing campaigns to support their efforts in the education sector

Interns can also be considered for employment as a Project Bully Free Zone trainer.
Many of our interns work 15-20 hours each week. Our internships are flexible and we do not require you to leave your home or campus to work with us. You can work remotely and check in with your intern coordinator via personal and group conference calls. Interns will meet with founder Traciana Graves in person or remotely throughout their internship.
